Sheen Lane transition

At Sheen Lane, one runner from each team continues. The rest move into the support vehicle. From this point onwards, it becomes a rolling relay.

Support vehicle & safety

You can have a dedicated support driver or rotate drivers when you rotate runners. It’s entirely up to you—just keep things safe and sensible on the road.

Race format & strategy

Beyond following the official route, your strategy is your own: run your full distance in one block, break it into shorter efforts, or rotate frequently. The key rule: by the finish, all runners must be within 3km of each other in total distance covered. If someone is short, you’ll need to correct it before finishing—potentially extra kilometres at the end. Keep track as you go.

Finish

We finish at the water line in front of Perch at Lancing Beach. All team members should be present at the finish.

Accommodation

There are plenty of B&Bs and hotels along the coast. Some of the organisers will be staying at The Barn Campsite in Lancing (about 10 minutes walk from the finish).

Sheen Lane logistics

Sheen Lane Car Park, Richmond (Sheen Ln, London SW14). Free parking at weekends.

Leave your support car at Sheen Lane in advance and make your way back to Battersea for the start. One practical option is the train from Mortlake to Queenstown Road, followed by a short jog to the start.
